6 Months of Building in Public: What I Learned

8 min read

Six months ago I started sharing every product launch, every pricing experiment, and every failed idea publicly instead of waiting until things looked polished. It changed how I build.

The biggest surprise was that transparency about failure builds more trust than highlight reels. A post about a template that flopped got more engagement and more sales on my next launch than any polished announcement.

It is also exhausting in ways nobody tells you about. Publicly committing to ship creates real pressure. The trick was lowering the bar for what counts as sharing, a rough screenshot beats a perfectly produced video you never finish.
